Our most popular service — ideal for business travel, vacations, or anytime you need trusted overnight care. Your dog gets a full day of daycare activity followed by a calm, comfortable overnight stay.

Each dog has their own comfortable resting space with familiar bedding (bring their own if you'd like). Overnight staff ensure a smooth evening and a happy good morning.

Heading out of town for the weekend? Our weekend boarding package covers Friday drop-off through Sunday pickup — everything your dog needs for a perfect three-day stay.

Weekend stays include full daycare activity both days, overnight comfort, and plenty of socialization. Your dog won't even miss you (but we'll send photos anyway).

Whether you're on a long business trip, an international vacation, or relocating, we provide attentive, loving care for your dog for as long as you need — days, weeks, or even a month.

Extended stay dogs become part of our community. They develop routines, friendships with other dogs, and a genuine comfort with our facility that makes longer stays easy on everyone.

Health & Vaccination Requirements

To keep every dog safe and healthy, all guests must meet our vaccination and temperament requirements. These are non-negotiable and applied equally to every dog we welcome.

Rabies (current)
DHPP / DA2PP (Distemper combo)
Bordetella (kennel cough) — within 6 months
Leptospirosis (recommended)
Canine Influenza H3N2 (recommended)

General Requirements

Dogs must be spayed or neutered (over 7 months)
Current flea and tick prevention required
No visible signs of illness at drop-off
Dogs must be at least 4 months old
Temperament screen for first-time guests

Services FAQ

What are your drop-off and pick-up hours?

Monday through Friday, drop-off is 7:00–9:00 AM and pick-up is 4:00–7:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday, drop-off is 8:00–10:00 AM and pick-up is 3:00–6:00 PM. Holiday hours may vary — please check with us in advance.

Do I need to bring my dog's food?

Yes, we ask that you bring your dog's regular food portioned in labeled bags or containers. Keeping their diet consistent prevents digestive upset. We do not provide house food, though we can accommodate if you forget in a pinch.

Can I drop in without a reservation?

We always recommend booking in advance to guarantee a spot, especially for weekends and holidays. We may be able to accommodate same-day walk-ins for daycare if space allows — call us first to check availability.

How do I send vaccination records?

You can email records directly to info@alpharettapetboarding.com, or ask your vet to fax them to us before drop-off. We need records on file at least 24 hours before your dog's first visit. Records must be from a licensed veterinarian.

What happens if my dog gets sick while boarding?

We will contact you immediately. If a dog shows signs of illness, they are separated from the group for their comfort and safety. If needed, we will transport your dog to a local veterinary clinic with your authorization. We always act in the best interest of your pet.

Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs or repeat bookings?

Yes! We offer a 10% discount for a second dog from the same household. We also offer loyalty perks for regular clients — ask us about our frequent visitor program when you book.
